Yuki being his girl (still shows off for her), that he still has Senchiro, sake, quiet moments with Yuki, games (doesn’t have to win as long as he is having fun)
The idea of becomming a bully or monster who would knowingly hurt another, being forced not to defend the weak or correct an injustice, when his friends are sad and he can do nothing to cheer them up, being looked down on for his short stature and age
Over the last few years, and since the death of Erisuke and the destruction of his homeland, Chisu has calmed down a lot. Though he still has the party boy mentality when he is with Senchiro at times. He is a lot less 'spring of the moment' then he used to be and thinks before he acts now. He is still extremely loyal to the gumi and his loved ones - he will always works hard to cheer up others, even if he has to play the clown to do so. Of all the group he is probably still the most sincerely valorous (often not asking for rewards for his deeds and not terribly concerned with recognition).
Losing Yuki, Senchiro, or any more of the gumi (they are his family now after all....)
Chisu finds his personal value in the amount of use he is to his friends, when he can't help them he instantly feels worthless.

Dragon (Sky Lord - Pterodactyl)
Age & Sex
32 / F
A warm brown sky lord with bright green eyes.
Energetic, he loves to go flying. He is very possessive of Chisu however and doesn't like to let others ride unless Chisu does a LOT of begging/bribery.

Year 1827: Chisu is born the son of a geisha and her "golden chance" with a samurai in love with her. Sadly though, despite promises otherwise (and sincere affection towards his son), Kodori could never marry Sumeri because he was already married! (He had neglected to tell her that much.)

Year 1832: At the tender age of 5 he trained in the Ieasu dojo. There he gets to know Mitsuko and Raiu, though from a distance given his youth.

Year 1837: Chisu is pulled out of the dojo because of his mother's lack of finances, but her likewise refusal to give the boy up (since the dojo does take in orphans). She needs Chisu as a way to get money out of his father, which is her last "revenge" on the man who broke her heart.

Year 1840: Kodori dies, his last words being his regret he could never claim his son and let him inherit everything. However he offers to his son his daisho. Also at his bedside though was Kodori's legitimate son - whon Chisu had never met. Feeling bad for taking such a noble inheritance away from his own sibling, Chisu offered him the wakazashi before he left. After he parted ways with his mother, intent to finish his studies as a samurai and make a real difference in the world. She scoffed him off, having little use for him now that his father was gone. He joined a dojo that took in people with low funds and completed his training.

Year 1842: Chisu hears that Mitsuko and Raiu are opening their own gumi in the capitol. With nothing but fond memories of them (and somewhat of Toru...) he leaves to join up with them.

Year 1843: Kaito, the gumi's presiding lord, constantly makes trouble for them. This culminates in an incident at the local geisha house where he attempts to kill some geisha's who wouldn't strip down and dance for him. While the women's lives were spared, Chisu realizes there is no way he can stand a man like Kaito.

Year 1845: Kaito cuts down a boatsman for refusing to sing on his boat ride, Sasuke reaches his limit. He calls in Mitsuko & Raiu and demands they do “something” about Kaito, and that something needs to end with Kaito’s demise. Raiu & Mitsuko call in Chisu, Senchiro, Saiya & Inuzu on the matter. They discuss how to do the assassination, but they give a most vital roll in it to Senchiro: To stop Erisuke. As per the Code of Bushido, Erisuke would be beholden to come to his old teachers rescue. So if he finds out, Senchiro is to knock him out to prevent that.

The Mibushin Gumi hold a big party after another successful minor raid. Hearing about this, Kaito is all for attending. During the party everyone gets drunk. Kaito retires and Raiu, Toru & Mitsuko offer to walk him back to the headquarters. Meanwhile, Erisuke realizes what this means thanks to Chisu's slip ups. He tries to go after them and Senchiro fights him to stop him – knowing full well by now that Erisuke has seen how twisted Kaito has become. While Erisuke admits this is the right thing to do, he can’t just let it happen to his old teacher. Senchiro wins the fight and knocks Erisuke out.

Year 1853: Chisu investigates the seen of the crime of his brothers kidnapping and finds only evidence of a letter and something that could have been poison. After all that settles he starts to realize his feelings for Yuki are growing.

Year 1854: Yuki talks with Chisu about his feelings for her and the two decide to try dating, but slowly given Yuki wants to be sure they are in love for the right reasons.

A demon, a servant of Melchior, is sent to attack the patrol group that Yuki is with and Chisu is captaining. He tells her to flee but when the creature proves capable of jumping great distances it tries to leap after her instead. Chisu throws his sword to stop the creature, allowing Yuki to escape. Furious, it turns around and maims Chisu in the fight. Yuki reaches the HQ and finds Erisuke and Senchiro there. They quickly follow her to help Chisu. Chisu is taken by to heal but the wounds are strange and there is concern they are corrupted or poisonous. Inuzu and Yuki both tend to him, with Yuki blaming herself for it. Inuzu gets annoyed with this and sends her outside to wait with Senchiro & Erisuke.
That night, Inuzu reports to Raiu and Mitsuko that Chisu is poisoned and that they must stop it before it kills him. While the Mibushin Gumi struggles to find him a cure, Chisu is strong enough to at least sit up in bed. He bonds with Toru over not wanting to die forgotten in a hospital room. Inuzu and Raiu manage to work together and isolate the antidote. Yuki asks Inuzu for permission to administer the antidote, since she has some words for Chisu anyways. After, Yuki gives Chisu the antidote and scolds him on putting his life on the line like that. She doesn’t want to picture a world without any one member of the gumi in it. Chisu tries to train himself back up after a week laid up. Toru offers to spar with him and two actually end up tied.

Year 1855: Shantrea, Virgil and Chester bring their issues up to Oseron and Leorajh. Shadow Hunters are sent to investigate the threat. However, the investigation is hard to prioritize when the water levels are starting to rise – which is the first sign the Ocean Slada’sha is awakening. They have to mobilize all forces to get people out of the Isle of Dragons and the beaches of Merlose before they are destroyed.

Leorajh arrives at the Isle of Dragons before everyone else to warn Muramasa. Mouko shows up and offers to rise the island so it won’t be destroyed. However, Muramasa throws them both out as he will not risk working with Mouko. Mouko attempts to rise the island anyways but he doesn’t have enough time. The rising gigantic Slada’sha grabs the island with one claw and slams it back down into the ocean. The Isle of Dragons and some 80% of the ryuko people, are destroyed. Mouko teleports to the Isle of Entropy and tries to save the land but it fails. With no other choice, Mouko explains his family that he can hold the Slada’sha in this region by using the fragmented buildings of the temple below to restrain it, but he cannot stop its minions and the infestation to come. It will spare them the main monster but not the waves of its creations. This will take everything Mouko has, so as a result he names Mizuki his replacement.

Mouko uses his connection via Raiu’s sword to teleport the headquarters itself to safety. Those inside it at the time are spared and appear somewhat inland of Merlose. However, Inuzu and Chou had run outside of it just before it vanishes – Inuzu to save his mother, who then turned on him due to Slada’sha taint, and Chou for trying to save him from said mother. Himitsu was with them, having been talking politics with Mitsuko at the time.

The Mibushin Gumi arrive at the Dawnbringer Fortress, having heard that this was the place fighting back against the monster that destroyed their homeland, their people and their dearest friends/family. They demand to enlist.

Chisu breaks down with Yuki about how his brother is dead now, if he wasn’t before, and the killer’s secrets just became buried with their homeland. He is not taking the loss well.
