Laughing with friends, putting tormented spirits to rest, time with the Chisu and Senchiro, when people pay her compliments. Spending time with Toru and knowing that he is a loved brother. She enjoys supporting and helping out her family.
Outliving what she loves (being the only survivor of her temple has scared her, she can't lose anyone else!), that so many of her friends have died and she couldn’t helped them, brooding too much (it only fills her head with dark thoughts), when she is useless, being brushed off by a friend, Mouko (though now she is very confused about him).
A good hearted young woman who is happiest when she is of use to those around her. She is hard working and fearless when its for the sake of another. However she is a gentle type and somewhat shy in new company. That said, Yuki will never back down from what she beleives in and doesn't understand how to give up on something.
She fears what Mouko has planned for her and hopes feverently it won't destroy the men who have come to be her protectors.
Yuki has no issue putting herself at risk for the sake of others and tends to do so on instinct.

Age & Sex

Year 1823: Yuki is unaware of this but she was born to Nao's surviving mother. However her birth killed the woman, leaving Nao and Yuki the very last of the Turtle Clan's miko lineage - the best in the land for cleansing taint. She was taken in by monks on Nao's request and sent to live at their temple in the Isle of Dragons.

She was never told of her family. The only story she was given was that she was abandoned at the Temple and that the monks there were the only family she had. She was content with that.

Year 1833: At the tender age of ten the monks quickly teach her what techniques they can, hoping to prepare her for her difficult future ahead.

Year 1842: Yuki wakes to flames and choas engulfing her precious home. The monks die one after another trying to get her out, one of them gave her the dagger - her only weapon. However just as her precious dragon companion fell Mouko caught up to her. She was on the ground prone and he stood before her. All he did was grin devilishly and say: "Run, little miko, run and find someone _very_ strong to protect you."

She fled into the night screaming, his demons hot on her heels... thankfully she is saved in the nick of time by Raiu and Toru while they are out on patrol. She is brought into the Mibushin Gumi for protection.

Year 1843: Miyu seduces (literally and figuritively) Yuki. Once she has the girl around her finger she even sets her up on lustful outtings with men in the gumi to tarnish the miko's abilities. By the time Yuki realizes her friendship with Miyu is toxic it is too late. Miyu more-or-less tells her that she doesn't care if Yuki hates her, after all the only reason she wanted Yuki to fall in love was so she could steal whoever she picked!

She falls for Saiya, hard, and begins to convince herself it is love.

During the holiday festival, Yuki performs her dance as miko on stage. She realizes her powers are much weaker as a result and becomes concerned. She talks with Yonisho about how to cleanse herself. He mentions the Teiten shrine back in their homeland but it is a dangerous place, she’d never survive it.

Yuki asks Raiu & Mitsuko for permission to go and they refuse, they cannot spare the men to guard her and she is their ward. That night Senchiro & Erisuke attempt to cheer her up. She realizes she must do this though and resolves to make the night as much fun as she can since she will be leaving them – possibly forever if she dies! After everyone is sleeping, Yuki sneaks out but Saiya catches her. She explains her reasons for this and he lets her go.

In the Land of Dragons, is nearly killed when two strangers save her life: Nao & Kiri. Nao checks Yuki for the source of her weakened powers. She learns two things in the process: 1. Yuki is unclean because she lusted for a man instead of loved him. 2. Yuki is a Teiten descendant and Nao’s younger sister.

Nao helps Yuki cleanse herself at the monastery (which she’s been rebuilding) but she is warned that she will fall back into the same place if she chooses lust again upon her return. She must look for who she can devote herself to, the man she lusts for and the man she can serve without lust are not often the same person.

After a few weeks though, Yuki realizes she must return to the gumi and help them. She says her farewells to Kiri and Nao.

Year 1844: Yuki finally returns to the Mibushin Gumi. Everyone is happy but also furious with her for leaving. Raiu is particularly harsh with her, border lining on cruel, but she suddenly realizes this is because he cares. He hates that she could have thrown her life away and is using cruelty to force her into changing her ways so he doesn’t have to worry so much.

She also talks with Toru and apologizes for not talking to him. She also tells him about how she’s putting aside her feelings for Saiya. Even Akiha talks with Yuki about her “trip”. She gives her some advice about the differences between lust and love.

Year 1845: The Mibushin Gumi hold a big party after another successful minor raid. However, her and Miyu stay the head quaters to sit it out together. Saiya shows up to kill Miyu. Unaware of the situation, Yuki defends the life of a woman already losing her father and buys Miyu enough time to run. After Saiya explains the situation to her.

Year 1853: An old rapist of Saiya’s comes back and makes moves on him while Yuki is present – she learns about his sordid past as a result. After, Yuki tries to help him stand up for himself but he rebukes her harshly. Shelaments to Raiu about Saiya’s lack of defense or willingness to be defended.

Naomi, Yuki and Yonisho arrive at the shrine to the Dragons deep within the Land of Dragons. They negotiate with the dragons to have Naomi “cleansed” of her taint but they cannot removed it completely since its been in her so long. She will always be tainted but they can halt it form taking her over. She will just have to live in a precarious place of balance. Naomi talks to Yuki about wanting to become a miko. However, when she first tries to use one of the magics it hurts her badly. She realizes that while she can book-study the practices and try to help people that way, she cannot use magic.

While in the city shopping with Akiha, Yuki gets an uneasy feeling when a young boy passes by her. She quickly follows him. When she catches up to him she realizes that dark spirits are connected to him. She cleanses the boy and finds out he is an orphan from a nearby village. Before he runs off he hints that others are in danger. Yuki goes to Mistuko, telling him that she feels she should check out the village and seek what is happening there. She promises him she won't go alone. Yuki asks Toru if he will come with her to check what is going on at the village. When they get to the village it seems abandoned until Yuki finds some children. Suddenly, they are attacked by angry spirits and she and Toru get separated. Yuki hides with one of the children and finds out that lost children are drawn here to feed the spirits. Sometimes they possess the children so they can hurt others. She realizes that if she doesn't find Toru the spirits may try and take him over! Yuki finds Toru and together they fight the spirits and cleanse the land. This allows them to free the children. Yuki admits to Toru how worried she was for him, and that she cares for him deeply. He assures her that if he loved or not, he would never date anyone when he’s dying.

Year 1854: Yuki talks with Inuzu and Chou about Ijito and how he might be scheming against the Mibushin Gumi but she has no evidence yet.

Yuki can’t believe that Raiu used her face but was romantic with Saiya. In the process, Raiu manages to deflect her thoughts of his connection to Saiya by pointing out Chisu is clearly jealous. He suggests he might have feelings for her!

Yuki talks with Chisu about his feelings for her and the two decide to try dating, but slowly given Yuki wants to be sure they are in love for the right reasons.

Kosuke tags along with Yuki and Naomi on a priest situation to see if he likes it. He finds the job is pretty mundane and dull.

A demon, a servant of Melchior, is sent to attack the patrol group that Yuki is with and Chisu is captaining. He tells her to flee but when the creature proves capable of jumping great distances it tries to leap after her instead. Chisu throws his sword to stop the creature, allowing Yuki to escape. Furious, it turns around and maims Chisu in the fight. Yuki reaches the HQ and finds Erisuke and Senchiro there. They quickly follow her to help Chisu. Chisu is taken by to heal but the wounds are strange and there is concern they are corrupted or poisonous. Inuzu and Yuki both tend to him, with Yuki blaming herself for it. Inuzu gets annoyed with this and sends her outside to wait with Senchiro & Erisuke. While the Mibushin Gumi struggles to find him a cure, Chisu is strong enough to at least sit up in bed. He bonds with Toru over not wanting to die forgotten in a hospital room. Inuzu and Raiu manage to work together and isolate the antidote. Yuki asks Inuzu for permission to administer the antidote, since she has some words for Chisu anyways. After, Yuki gives Chisu the antidote and scolds him on putting his life on the line like that. She doesn’t want to picture a world without any one member of the gumi in it.

Year 1855: Toru, Inuzu and Yuki are out on a patrol and notice two black blood zombies causing a ruckus at the docks. They put them down but wonder where they came from.

Toru, Inuzu and Yuki each take different routes to understanding where the black blood zombies came from. Inuzu (with Yuki’s help) investigates the bodies. The can tell that they are corrupted but it isn’t by Mouko’s taint. He can also tell these were merchants and judging by their attire they work ryuko’s working in Aether off-and-on. The bloating and damage to the corpse suggests they’ve been waterlogged for almost a week. The groups meet up and share findings. Mitsuko isn’t sure what can be done. This could easily be a one-off incident. At least, given what they’ve learned, they should pray it is.

Shantrea, Virgil and Chester bring their issues up to Oseron and Leorajh. Shadow Hunters are sent to investigate the threat. However, the investigation is hard to prioritize when the water levels are starting to rise – which is the first sign the Ocean Slada’sha is awakening. They have to mobilize all forces to get people out of the Isle of Dragons and the beaches of Merlose before they are destroyed.

Leorajh arrives at the Isle of Dragons before everyone else to warn Muramasa. Mouko shows up and offers to rise the island so it won’t be destroyed. However, Muramasa throws them both out as he will not risk working with Mouko. Mouko attempts to rise the island anyways but he doesn’t have enough time. The rising gigantic Slada’sha grabs the island with one claw and slams it back down into the ocean. The Isle of Dragons and some 80% of the ryuko people, are destroyed. Mouko teleports to the Isle of Entropy and tries to save the land but it fails. With no other choice, Mouko explains his family that he can hold the Slada’sha in this region by using the fragmented buildings of the temple below to restrain it, but he cannot stop its minions and the infestation to come. It will spare them the main monster but not the waves of its creations. This will take everything Mouko has, so as a result he names Mizuki his replacement.

Mibushin Gumi: Mouko uses his connection via Raiu’s sword to teleport the headquarters itself to safety. Those inside it at the time are spared and appear somewhat inland of Merlose. However, Inuzu and Chou had run outside of it just before it vanishes – Inuzu to save his mother, who then turned on him due to Slada’sha taint, and Chou for trying to save him from said mother. Himitsu was with them, having been talking politics with Mitsuko at the time.

The Mibushin Gumi arrive at the Dawnbringer Fortress, having heard that this was the place fighting back against the monster that destroyed their homeland, their people and their dearest friends/family. They demand to enlist.

Chisu breaks down with Yuki about how his brother is dead now, if he wasn’t before, and the killer’s secrets just became buried with their homeland. He is not taking the loss well.

As the dust settles on a rather hollow “victory”, Oseron talks with the other representatives about the threat of the Slada’sha. Yes, Mouko has bought them time, but they must use it wisely. It believes there are a handful of locations that could hide clues to learning the secrets of the Slada’sha – maybe even how to destroy them. Without Mouko to provide them insight, they need to uncover the knowledge he had themselves. It suggests sending a team to find the Teiten Miko: Nao. Oseron sends Leorajh, along with Yuki and Toru, to seek out Nao. Sadly there are no teleport sites between there are the Land of Dragons after Ryuuguu had been moved into the sea so they have to take the long way.

Leorajh, Yuki and Toru arrive at the Teiten Monastery. They learn that the Teiten were once a global organization who’s roots began with the ancient keise. The two races had, long ago, come together to defeat the Slada’sha and cleanse the land of their taint. For more details, they would need to see out the very first Teiten Monastery (which, ironically, isn’t the large one that Nao rebuilt). Leorajh, Yuki, Toru, Kiri and Nao arrive at the ancient monastery. They find a room full of crystals that hold information like scrolls or books might. However, they don’t know how to read or use them. Leorajh suggests they take the back to the Consortium, who might be able to find out how they operate. He also invites Nao to join the Drawnbringers. She agrees.
